Bradda Head Lithium Limited (AIM:BHL, OTCQB:BHLIF, TSX-V:BHLI) has staked just under 8 sq km of new lode claims at its San Domingo pegmatite district in Arizona, increasing its land holding there by a third.

It is the fourth time Bradda Head has expanded its acreage at San Domingo since July 2021, growing it from 13 sq km to 31 sq km after this latest staking.

Soil sampling in February contained encouraging indicators for lithium exploration, said the statement, while fieldwork positively identified lithium-bearing minerals at nearly all anomalies tested in follow-up work.

Expanding the current claim block will allow it to trace these areas along strike to maximise the potential for finding significant lithium resources while also ringfencing the company’s interests in the area.

Charles FitzRoy, Bradda Head's chief executive, added: “San Domingo is an exceptionally exciting project for us.

“Our initial drilling programme demonstrated the presence of lithium across the 9km mineralised trend with intercepts of 31.85m at 1.60% Li20.

“The second programme in under 12 months has just kicked off with drilling commencing this month, and we look forward to updating the market with results as they arrive.”
